7월 1일부터 바뀌는 내용
1. 2006년 7월 1일 또는 그 이후에 접수되는 경우 배우자 EEC 비용에 대한 비용 인상됨 ($2,690 --> $2,765)

2. 기술이민 이민신청비용 인상 : $1935 --> $1990
3. MODL 점수 확보 시점: 그동안 말 많았던 것 이제 법으로 정해짐. 접수 시점에서 확정됨
(5AA) In working out the number of points to be given to an applicant
for Part 7 of Schedule 6A, the Minister must have regard to
whichever of the following are more favourable to the
applicant:
(a) the occupations that were specified as migration
occupations in demand at the time the application was
made;
(b) the occupations that are specified as migration occupations
in demand at the time the assessment mentioned in
subsection 93 (1) of the Act is made.
4. designated 지역의 친인척 스폰서 비자 (139) 없어짐 2006년 7월 1일 이전에 접수한 것만 유효하고 그 이후는 139 비자 신청하지 못함.
139 비자 대신에 임시 비자를 소지하고 일정한 기간동안 (예를들어 2년) 영주비자를 받는 2 단계로 비자 처리를 하게 됨.
* 6월 22일 확정된 7월 1일 부터 적용되는 법의 주요 내용입니다.
예상외로 영어 성적 increase는 아예 포함되어 있지 않습니다.
* 영어 성적의 increase를 정부가 원하고는 있지만 그것을 올렸을 때 타격은 그들도 잘 알고 있을 것입니다. 하여 이번 이민법 개정에서 빠진 것이 아닌가 해석됩니다.
* 예상보다 수정 폭이 적었습니다.
